The TabMaker from hotfrets.com is another quick and easy to use learning tool. Its purpose is to help you create tabs without having to make tab paper or fiddle with Microsoft word too much.
The interface of the program shows you a view of a guitar and under it the tab itself. Also under that are a few options you can use with your tabbing. To make a tab all you need to do is click the note that you want on the guitar and it will show up in the tab box. To space the notes out, you use the dash key until its spaced enough. The keys at the bottom of the program give you options like slide up or down, hammer ons and pull offs, string bends and vibrato.
To tab chords with the program, you simply click on the chords button at the bottom of the program and you then click the notes that make up the chord. To go back to individual notes you click on notes. You can also see what notes you're actually choosing by clicking on the show notes button. The notes appear after you have clicked the fret and string.
