Stretching your ears

Stretching your ears is easy and looks awesome, alot of hardcore and emo kids are doing it these days and anyone with pierced ears can do it.

All you need is

  • pierced ears
  • a small stretching taper (around 3mm)
  • hand soap
  • towl and hot water

The first thing you need to do is soak the towl in the hot water and then put it on your ear lobe, This will relax the ear and make it easier for the stretcher to pass through (NOTE: do not ice your ear before you do this, it will just make your skin tence and harder for the stretcher to pass through)

When you think your ear has warmed enough get the taper and cover it in hand soap, this will lubricate the taper and help it to go through easier, it will keep the hole clean as well.

This is the painful part! push the taper through the hole in your ear. Now there is no trick to this and no way to avoid the pain. Stretching your ears or any part of your body for that matter will be painful, but the pain defiantly pays off. You can choose to push the stretcher through fast and get it over and done with which is what i would recommend, it hurts a tiny bit more but doesn't hurt for anywhere near as long. Once the taper is in then you can ice it all you want, don't ice it before though.

Now that its in leave it for around 24 hours, then try to turn it a bit and once you can turn it easily try taking it would and putting it back in. after about a week or 2 you should be ready to go to the next size.
