free guitar software downloads notes fretboard tuners

Free Guitar Software

Here are a couple of free music software programs to download that will help you to learn how to play the guitar.

FretPro is a popular, free guitar notes, chords and scales trainer. It's good because it makes a game out of learning guitar fretboard notes. The only downside is that it doesn't let you print your scales out to practise away from the computer. Yet is still worth the download, especially at only 1.3mb file size. You'll learn quickly with only 10 minutes practise per day.

Guitar Tuner 1 helps you to tune your electric or acoustic guitar by ear more easily. It is very easy to use. Start Guitar Tuner 1 then click on the string you want to hear and tune your guitar to it. It can't get easier than that.

GuitarVision Player is another popular free guitar program. This one is useful because it lets you learn full guitar songs visually, so you can follow along. Beginners to guitar can also slow the speed down so they can follow more easily, note by note. When you use GuitarVision Player you can can see how its played, hear the tunes and then play it yourself. It's a quick way for beginners to learn how to play full tunes.
